My logic: You need not believe in this. Just thought of sharing with you. There's no right or wrong.
At the end of the day, are you going to choose your partner or your parents choose for you? It's the same over here. I experienced the same picture over here. But I made my choice and I'm happy with my life. He will bring us through! Believe in Him.

Picture 1, If you become a Christian and your parents find out after 3 months. At least that 3 months, you gained something in life.
Picture 2, If you become a Christian and your parents know about it BUT nothing happened, wow.. Indeed you gained something. At the end of the day, we will still gain in some ways.

Haha. the ending will always be picture 2. Don't ask me why about this. It's just like that! cos we got a BIG GOD!

Connect Group Meeting - Faith Series...

We are in the season of Faith! Recall the day when you get saved? Have you ever ask yourself how you get saved?
Ans: Your Faith in God.

Let's recap what we have learnt so far for the very first CG meeting. A brief recap! You should refer to your notes!

We talked about the word Faith and Faith is..
§ Faith for the past = facts or experience
§ Faith for the future = hope
§ Faith for now = FAITH

The work of faith
Faith without works is dead.
James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

What is Faith? faith is…
Faith is anchored in the realm of the heart.
Mark 11:22-23 22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.23 “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
Faith is from the heart.

Faith is ACTION!
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
The moment when we believe, we ‘have’, not ‘shall have’ everlasting life.
Faith brings an immediate change of position.

So faith is NOW
And faith will move us and produce a change and actions.

If you said, God you will blessed me financially and you didn’t do anything. Nothing will happen. That’s just hope. Wishful thinking.
God I have faith that you will blessed me financially. And I do something (I’m jobless, I try looking for job and I managed to find a job. Through here, I earned money and I’m blessed) there’s an action. That’s faith.

You know what you should do? Read this verse and you will know.
Matthew 18:19-20
19 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.

YES! That's right. Pray! Exercise your faith today.

This is something I really like about our Church! People really have the heart to Serve God more and we always go all out , all the way just to give God our Best! I'm now very very tired but I wanna tell the whole world now, how issit to feel like to serve MY GOD! I can never ask for more but to serve Him more....

Hey B1.. i have a sudden tots of my dreams and my visions. To get more people save, to rise up more and do more!, to grow the kingdom of God, to run the vision with Pastors and my leaders! to be a Bassists for God, to bring the lights in our church up another level, to serve God more...etc there is so much to do and so little time for me.. so lets all not waste too much time slacking around doing nth but lets move together towards our Dreams! We are all abt the age of 18 so its only 3-4 more years left before our friends become really hard to Ev(though its still possible).. shldnt NOW be the best time to bring our friends to God rather than concentrating on other stuff? I believe that if we could just spend alittle more time praying for others, alittle more time together building relationship with others, alittle more time in the presence of God... we will never look back when we're 40 and say "I've wasted my last 40 years......."

but we shld be looking back at our 40 years saying

"God, I've gave my all and I have no regrets"

I was just thinking about the day I got saved. Charleston waiting for me at Yishun MRT and paying for a cab down to Henderson; my first time in heart of God.

I was just thinking about the day I first encountered God. Joshua Easton; his sermon; God.

I was just thinking about the days of Northbrooks. From 1... to nigh 40 at our prime. Cabbing down to church together; taking the school together. Reaching out to our friends; praying at the back gate during recess.

I was just thinking about 2003. The day my team first hit 5. The new friends, the growth, the days of serving God. The day Sam broke through. Jian Ming and Wei Tze.

I was just thinking about 2004. The overwhelming sense of thanks and gratitude when I got 10 points. The move to the City; the Heart Awards; God calling me to MJC. Euphoria when we broke 200 as a youth and 40 as a zone. And of course, Rinnah.

I was just thinking about 2005. Others. Growing the Kingdom; taking MJC. The new friends, the new leaders, my new brothers and sisters.

I was just thinking about this year. BIG; enlarge and expand. Cedar Girls'; Nan Chiau. The mistakes and the breakthroughs; the friends and the passion. RedRain, and soon Christmas.

What a year this is going to be.

Hey all! This is my 1st time posting in our Own B1 Blog! Yeah, first of all I wanna thank Kawa for doing this Blog for us! It’s very well done~ Anyway, I wanna share more about the Seoul Garden outing here. Until now, I’m still impacted by what Jian Ming shared with us. The Heart behind why we Ev and integrate. It’s always about people and people and people! I can still remember the 1st day when I came to church feeling all so lonely. BUT! Leonard and the rest was there talking to me, making me feel like home. =) It was the Love that they showed me that really kept me coming! So now, we have to really love and care for people who come in to our church~ not only from our CG but everyone! Unknown people came to me and talk to me during my first few visit! My first impression was “WOW!”. This is the kind of feeling that you will give to new friends when you introduce yourself to them! God Loves US! So we should Love People like how God have first love us! U know? It’s so amazing to see how people come and been changed by the love of God. My life changed completely! I have never dream that I would do things that would impacts people’s life. I have never had the thoughts of changing people’s life etc. What we are doing is for eternality. Earning much money, having big house, luxury cars with a high income will never give you the kind of Joy that of seeing people’s life change. So let’s build this house of God Together with Pastors!

Hehe. This is my FIRST time blogging! Lol.
And I am faster than Melvin! Haha.

Heart to Heart with our Pastors seminar just ended. Wow. It was really powerful! The presence of God is so strong. The whole church just worship with their hearts...kneeling now in this place.

Scars that saves. Isn't that powerful?! Everyone have a scar. That seminar just began to bring out all my scars, I began to think of all the sad things that had happened to me...all the hurts that's in me. Though it hurts a lot but if u are willing to lift them all up to God...He will heal them and use them! (: Are u willing to lift them up to God?! I know that Sunday, I had lifted all up to Him. He knows I am hurt and He wants to heal me and use me mightily.
I don't know what to say but my God is awesome! He really loves us and I can feel His love whenever I dwell in His presence. My relationship with God is never just 'God n me' relationship but He is more like my Father! Whenever I am upset about something, He is the first person I thought of (besides my leader, jianming) and I will start sharing with Him, 'complaining' to Him because I know He will comfort me and love me. (:
I remembered there was once when I quarreled with my mother and tears were rolling down my cheek but when I called out God, immediately I felt peace and I stop crying. Isn't He amazing?! Today, I know that I can't live a day without His presence. In His presence, I know what is faith, hope and love. In His presence, I feel alive. I love Him so much that no words can describe my love for Him! (:

He is always there for us.
When troubles come I trust in You
For I know You will lead me through
And I know You are faithful
Till the end

Do you love Him as much as He loves us?

Unleash the Power of God Challenge

1) Reading a book in the bible and share with Jian Ming your feeling after reading the book. What had you learnt from the passage? What had impacted you? What did God speak to you? What you plan to do next? Your reflections?

2) Reading a Christian book and share with Jian Ming your feeling after reading the book. What had you learnt from the passage? What had impacted you? What did God speak to you? What you plan to do next? Your reflections?

3) The bible taught us that we should spend more time with our leaders and pastors then we will grow. The disciples spend time with Jesus, etc. We are going to do the same. Min. once every 2 weeks, share with your leaders (Jian Ming) about your life more. Tell him something interesting that happen. Any problems encountered? How did God speak to you and helped you? Etc. Also, what are the things that you observed from the pastors and leaders that you learnt something.

Criteria: To submit either task 1 or 2 and to complete task 3. Everyone is to participle. Attractive prizes to be won every month!
